Volunteer Opportunities
(Brief Overview)

Education:
Become a classroom tutor assisting students in the subject areas of reading, math, and computer literacy. Serve as a positive role model in the lives of your community’s youth as a mentor. Assist adults in getting their GED. Teach students at technical schools in the areas of mechanics, cooking, electronics and other vocations.

Environment:
Volunteer as a master gardener by providing information to the public about lawn maintenance, landscaping, and growing plants in Central Florida. Serve as a tour guide or garden maintenance volunteer at area botanical gardens.

Public Safety:
Serve as an informational guide with law enforcement agencies teaching the public how to prepare for disasters. Volunteer as a parking enforcement official or Neighborhood Watch captain. Help recover stolen property with investigation units.
