What Do RSVP Volunteers Do?
Absolutely anything they like to do.
RSVP utilizes the vast talents of volunteers willing to share their experience, abilities and skills through community agencies and non-profit organizations in response to a huge variety of community needs.

EDUCATION: Reading to children, working with adult literacy, helping public libraries, working with heritage skills and museums.
PUBLIC SAFETY: Participating in Homeland Security volunteer teams, intergenerational crime prevention programs, serving on neighborhood watch teams, providing safety and accident prevention education and manning the courthouse information desk.

HUMAN NEED SERVICES: Assisting individuals in times of personal crisis and disaster, friendly visiting to those who are shut-in or in health care facilities, providing a "Santa Shop" for children to purchase gifts (some handmade) for their families and providing a large range of services to our local citizens.

Help The Community and Yourself.
Volunteers are quick to point out that they gain by giving. Through RSVP projects the benefits of volunteer efforts are two-fold: the local community is able to provide valuable services which they cannot afford without RSVP volunteers and at the same time volunteers can share the talents and skills they have developed over a lifetime in their NEW careers as RSVP volunteers. #000000 31 1Times New Roma
